In loving memory of Mary Aliece Atkins of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Baxley, Georgia, who departed this world on November 4, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Matthew and Lois Bullard Jones; her husband Joseph Henry "Jake" Atkins; and her siblings, Patricia Rouse, Ernest Jones, Kenneth Jones and Randy Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Becky King (Tim) of Hoboken, Melanie Tuten (Loran) of Bristol, Donna Ayers (Keith) of Mobile, AL, Dale Atkins (Cathy) of Baxley and David Atkins (Debi) of Springfield; her sister Bobbie Jo McNeely of Swainsboro; and her grandchildren, Maggie Arnold (Harold), Joseph King (Billie Ann), Ben Tuten, Brett Tuten, Alan Atkins (Kendra), Andy Atkins, Ashley Atkins (Claire), Michael Atkins (Christina), Laura Griffin, Meighan Masterson (Micaiah) and Audra Minton (Myles). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pearson-Dial Chapel (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the Hospice Satilla Hospice House, 811 Beacon St., Waycross, GA 31501.
