He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Taft and Genieva Reliford Taft; and his siblings, Helen Hutchison, Kathleen Muncie, Harvey Taft and Lester Taft.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Boyett Taft of Blackshear; his children, David Taft (Shelly) of Blackshear, Angie Holton (Pong) of Douglas, Michael Taft (Kim) of Broxton, Jon Taft (Glenda) of Waycross, Pam Boatright (Bryan) of Mershon and Jason Dixon (Desire) of Montgomery, AL; his grandchildren, David Morris Taft, Cameron Taft, Boone Sasser (Stephen), Rain Holton, Devan Shireman (Randi), Erin Sayer (Elijah), Rodney Reaves, Bo Swanson (Emma), Whitney Cardin (Chris), Logan Sandiford, Mason Boatright, Natalie Dixon and Evan Dixon; and his sisters, Patsy Herndon (Richard) of Millwood, Sara Herndon (Bill) of Millwood and Janice Haley (Mike) of Dixie Union. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
