With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose A. Gooden of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on September 14, 2023 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rose A. Gooden to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Earl Irick and Juanita Faye Culbertson Strickland; and her step-father Owen Leroy "Big Hoss" Strickland. She is survived by : her husband Alan Lewis Gooden of Blackshear; her step-children, Monica Gooden (Greg Morrison) of Sadieville, KY, Greg Gooden (Laura) of Cynthiana and Shaun Gooden (Bethany) of Nashville, TN; her siblings, Terri Higgs (James) of Blackshear, Bobby Irick of Blackshear, Keith Irick (Georgie) of Athens, TN and Barry Irick (Corrina) of Albuquerque, NM; and her sister-in-law Mary Marshall of Georgetown, KY. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church (2378 Mt Calvary Church Rd, Hoboken, GA 31542).
