He is survived by: his wife Genese Pittman Smart of Blackshear; his children, Rebecca Lynn (George) of Blackshear, Gene Smart (Renee) of Blackshear and Bradley Smart (Amy) of Blackshear; his grandchildren, Lexus Lynn, Skyy Purdom (Brandon), Hanna Smart, Kolby Lynn, Michael Smart, Jr., Braylen Smart, Drew Smart, Ashlyn Bowman, Derick McQuaig, Courtney Baker, Haley Baker, Justin Martin and Ansley King; his great grandchildren, Remington Purdom, Wrenley Smart, Keaton Smart and Olivia Vick; and his siblings, Allen Smart (Sandy) of Waycross, Clarence Smart of High Springs, FL, Lynn Smart of Waycross, Bonnie Beverly of Waycross and Betty Selph of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
