He was predeceased by: his parents, Isham Aldridge, and America Gill Aldridge, Jr.; his children, Joyce Blackshear and Walter Lamar Aldridge; his siblings, Kathlene Page, Ruthie Sapp, Doris Rountree, Buddy, Grady, Clarence, Leroy and Allen Aldridge; and his grandson Major Blackshear.
He is survived by: his son Charles; his daughter-in-law Jennie Aldridge of Homerville; his brother Lonnie; his sister-in-law Vera Aldridge of Jacksonville; his granddaughters, Ashlee Nicole Aldridge, Alana Danielle Aldridge and Mindie Blackshear Turner (Ryan); his stepgrandsons, Jason York and Aaron York (Erin); his great grandchildren, Aric Bo Norris, Amy Protonentis and Leanna Blackshear; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isaiah, Westin, Mackenzie, Mahaila, Kinley, Jayden, Joanna and Daisy York; and his close friend Debra Harris of Statesboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and caregiver.
