He was predeceased by: his parents, Orien Kenneth and Thelma Wrenn Rhodes; his wife Frances Butler Rhodes; his son Anthony James Rhodes; his brothers, Kenneth Rhodes, Milton Rhodes and Larry Rhodes; and his grandchildren, Connor Rhodes and Lauren Rhodes.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Rhodes of Oregon, Bryan Rhodes of Maryland and Michael Rhodes of Virginia; and his siblings, Judith Rhodes of Macon, Peggy Mercer of Waycross, Patsy Blanchard (Al) of Waycross and Roy Rhodes of Waycross. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
