He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen "Bondo" Chastain and Lorain Sutton Chastain; and his siblings, Danny, Narvil Chastain, Marilyn Wallace and Beatrice Chastain.
He is survived by: his siblings, Olin Chastain Jr. (Becky) of Lawrenceville, Doug "Bondo" Chastain (Marie) of Murphy, Arvil Chastain (Alva) of Murphy, Diane Owl of Marble, Mary Ann Measmer (Gene) of Murphy and Patricia Ashe (Wayne) of Marble. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (194 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906).
