He was predeceased by : his parents, Gwin Murphy and Willie Young Murphy; his grandson Carter Lee Seabolt; and his siblings, Hoyt Murphy, Jeanette Turner, Dale Brown and Amalee Owenby.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Dyer Murphy; his daughter Brooke; his son-in-law Clint Seabolt; his grandson Zachary Joe Seabolt; his siblings, James (Phyllis Murphy), Don (Georgia Murphy), Danny Murphy, Linda (Charles King) and Evelyn (Bruce Nichols); and his brother-in-law Jack Brown. He is also survived by friends and endless love for his family.
