He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vaughters and Beatrice Vaughters; his brother Randall Vaughters; his brother-in-law Wayne McCord; and his nephew David McCord.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Vaughters of Blairsville; his children, Donna Sheriff (Stevie) of Dawsonville and Russell Vaughters of Dawsonville; his grandchildren, Cody Sheriff, Amber Sheriff (Mitchell Frey), Taylor Hall (Cody) and Ashley Lester (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Vera Hall, Hayes Hall and Grace Lester; his sisters, Becky McCord (Garry Beck) and Cindy Vaughters (Ron Poole); and his caregivers, Pam Fox and Jill Harrell.
