He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clyde Mashburn and Vonnie Smith Mashburn; and his brothers, Robert Mashburn, Junior Mashburn and Richard Mashburn.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cheek Mashburn; his children, Sonya Mashburn Deyton (Tony) and Brian Mashburn (Melissa); and his brothers, Dwight Mashburn (Bonnie) and Orell Mashburn (Cathy). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
