She was predeceased by: her parents, Hartzell Fortenberry and Ruby Winkler Fortenberry; and her siblings, John Verlin, Waymon Fortenberry and Maggie Sosebee.
She is survived by: her husband Rick "Sparky" Dyer of Blairsville; her children, Steven (Connie Dyer), Joey Dyer of Blairsville and Kimberley; her son-in-law Tony Lauver of Blairsville; her brother Wayne Fortenberry of Blairsville; and her grandchildren, Caylee Dyer, Christian Lauver and Rylee Lauver.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (78a Butternut Crossing, Blairsville, GA 30512). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Chapel (78a Butternut Crossing, Blairsville, GA 30512).
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Mrs. Dyer's memory.
