He is survived by: his wife Janice Moore Smith of Blairsville; his sons, Stephen Harold Smith (Amelia) of Macon and Kevin Thomas Smith (Amy) of Baldwin; his grandchildren, Hadley Smith Roberts (Quinn), Mallory Grace Smith, Elizabeth Elaine Smith, Brooks Thomas Smith, Bram Bradham and Hollis Bradham; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy Gower Johnson (Wayne), Michael Gower (Robin), David Gower (Donell), Carla Smith Wynja (Karl), Susan Smith, Larry Moore, Elizabeth Selby Power and Emily Selby Malott.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church of Union County or to Pruitt Health Hospice of Blue Ridge, GA.
