He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Dockery and Cleo Anderson Dockery; his wife Delphine Dockery; his siblings, Pauline Beavers, Willa Belle Kernea, Bertha Loudermilk, Frank Dockery and Jack Dockery; and his granddaughter Kristen McCartney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Wright of Murphy, NC and Donna Dockery of Charlotte, NC; his brother Howard Dockery of Dalton, GA; his half-siblings, Wayne, Harold, Hoyt, Oscar, James, Darlene, Alene, Annie Jean, Mary Dean and Elaine; his grandsons, Thomas Beavers (Sydney), Patrick Wright (Patricia), Ethan Wright and Colin McCartney; and his great grandchild Hasten Beavers.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain View Chapel (78A Butternut Crossing, Blairsville, GA 30512). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
