He was predeceased by: his parent Martha Lou Reid; his brother William Jay "Billy" Carney; and his grandparents, Dewey M. Reid and Marietta "Etta" Reid. He is survived by: his daughter Allison Reid of San Francisco, CA.; his former wife Julie Reagan of Young Harris; his sister Ann Reid; his brother-in-law Tony Knapp of Blairsville; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Carol Reid of Blairsville; and his siblings' children, Jinjer Reid Taylor, April Carney Lovell, Nikki Carney, Katie Carney Cable and Sammy Stamey. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
