Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Walter Kissel of Blairsville, Georgia, born in Churchville, New York, who passed away at the age of 93, on March 26, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mike Kissel and Pauline Kissel; his wife Joy Rines Kissel; his sons, Rick Kates and Walter Jeffery Kissel; and his siblings, Mary Urkfitz and Frank Kissel.
He is survived by : his daughters, Valerie Nowak of Blairsville and Shelly Kates of Blairsville; and his grandchildren, Heather Williams, Sarah Vogt, Kim Burgess, Matthew Butler, Allan Nowak, Clint Butler, Rick Kates Jr., Ron Kates, Raquel Gendron and Roger Kates. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Georgia Children's Masonic Home in Walter's memory.
