She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Blackshear and John Blackshear; and her son John Calvin Wilson. She is survived by: her husband George Lane Wilson, Sr.; her children, Andrea Wilson Givens (Andy) of Colquitt, GA. and George Lane Wilson, Jr. (Casey) of Colquitt, GA.; her grandsons, Hudson Givens of Colquitt, GA., Landon Givens of Colquitt, GA. and Mason Wilson of Colquitt, GA.; and her siblings, Julia Granberry of Dothan, AL, David Holloman of Graceville, FL and Tommy Holloman of Headland, AL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home (21802 Lucile Rd, Blakely, GA 39823). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Colquitt Senior Center, reflecting Barbara's lifelong dedication to community service and support.
