She was predeceased by: her husband William Cefus Powell; her parents, Boyd White and Susie White; her grandson Lucus Johnston; and her sisters, Linda Bryan, Diane Brock, Carolyn Glass Tommy White and Sarah Glover.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Johnston (Bobby) of Echo, AL, David Powell (Wendy) of Blakely, GA, Wayne Powell (Trish) of Blakely, GA and Peggy Jackson (Steve) of Blakely, GA.; and her siblings, Eunice Waller of Blakely, GA, Rodney White (Shirley) of Valdosta, GA and Laura Musgrove of Colquitt, GA.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Zion Free Will Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child Fund or First Baptist Church of Blakely Operation Christmas Child Fund.
