She was predeceased by : her parents, Corine Ford Jenkins McKenzie and Robert Jenkins; her brother Edward Jenkins (Leander Ellis); her uncle Tye Cobb (Willie Ferrell); and her aunts, Willie Mae Mincey, Mary Alice Ford, Melva Webb, Linda Summerall and Mary Ferrell.
She is survived by : her son Evander Charles; her stepfather James McKenzie; and her siblings, Robert Ford (Cathy), Tyrone Jenkins (Cassandra), Mackey Ray Jenkins, Leander Hughes, Robert McKenzie, Roger McKenzie, Jasmine Hughes, Yolanda Covington, Mary Wright, Annie Catherine Parms, Barbara Hughes Abram and Dr. Bobbie Smith-Powell.
