She was predeceased by : her parents, Earnest Jackson and Juanita Williams Davis; her husband S. G. Maddox, Jr.; her daughter Monica Maddox Odom; and her sister Phyllis Davis Krack.

She is survived by : her former life partner Samuel Guy "Buddy" Maddox, Jr.; her daughter Ginger Maddox Cushing (Joey); her grandchildren, Samuel Maddox Odom, Izabella Cushing Temples (Will) and Eli Cushing; her great grandchild Josie Gin Temples; her brother Terry Davis; and her nephews, Chan Benton and Adam Benton.
