He was predeceased by : his parents, John William (Bill) and Augusta Hammack Fariss; and his siblings, Billy Fariss, Donald Fariss, Stephen Fariss, Peggy Sellers and Gayle Bechard.
He is survived by : his wife Judy Evans Fariss; his children, John (Chip) Fariss (Debbie) and Michelle Fariss Baker (Chris); his grandchildren, Courtney Floyd (Jon), Zac Floyd (Sumer) and Will Floyd; his great grandchildren, Axom, Henley, Stetson Floyd, Harper Floyd and Virginia Beach; his siblings, Carl Fariss Louisville (Barbara) and Kay Cole; and his close friends, Blake Phillips, Shelby and Paisley Floyd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Blakely First Methodist Church, PO Box 265, Blakely, Ga. 39823.
