He was predeceased by : his parents, Edith Mae Sewell and Joseph Sewell; his siblings, Doris L. Owens, Elaine Sewell, James L. Sewell of Billy Sewell, J. C, Tommy Sewell and Coleman Sewell; and his close friend Johnnie Mae Thornton.
He is survived by : his sisters, Anna Sewell, Glenda Sewell-Fluker and Linda Sewell-Pinkney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
