He is survived by: his close friend Charles DeLoach; his friends, Jule Talley, Gene Giles and Richard Pettigrew; his significant other Alicia Barbree Collier of Jakin; his children, Bob Collier (Ashley) and Ginger Watson (Jack) of Blakely; his grandchildren, Angelique Collier Powell, Collier Watson (Amanda), Natalie Collier Willis (Brandon), Paige Watson Harris (Jonathan) and Rhodes Collier; his great grandchildren, Gage Hemphill, Abby Powell Smith (Luke), Allie Powell, Alexis Clark, Autumn Clark, Blakely Harris, Eli Watson, Brody Harris, Emersyn Watson, Macey Caroline Harris, Hudson Watson and Watson Harris; his great great grandchild Stetson Easley; his caregivers, Robert, Mary Jean Foster, Kizzie Foster, Dee Foster, Annie Wright, Robin James and Anna Sewell; Ed Collier (Diane) and Arthur Collier (Theresa) of Jacksonville. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, including his brother.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home (21802 Lucile Rd, Blakely, GA 39823). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (790 S Church St, Blakely, GA 39823).
He made significant contributions to the community of Blakely serving as mayor for two terms, Chamber of Commerce President/Director, and President/Member of Blakely- Early County Rotary Club for over sixty years earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.
