He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Smith and Eldora Davis Smith; his wife Dorothy Jean Rush Smith; his son-in-law Griffin Gleaton; his great grandchild Emma Grace Konetzni; his grandson-in-law Kyle Konetzni; and his brother Gene Story Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Jean Gleaton and Stan Smith (Terrie) of Blakely; his grandchildren, Mandy Gleaton Konetzni, Chad Gleaton (Pelu), Josh Gleaton, Travis Smith (Samantha), Payton Smith (Morgan) and Patrick Smith (Erin); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Colin, Annelise, Abigail, Nikolas, Cason, Jaxon, Emerson and Briggs; and his brother-in-law David Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Blakely First Methodist Church Building Fund in honor of Buddy, ensuring that his spirit of generosity and community support continues to thrive.
