He is survived by: his wife Irene Mitchell; his children, Shelley Ann Mitchell (Dorian Dirk Dehnel) of Raleigh, NC and Christopher Stephen Mitchell of Marietta, GA.; his grandchildren, Annalise Harper Dehnel, Shiar MaKenna Dehnel, Holden Everett Mitchell and Margo Evelyn Mitchell; his sister LaJuana Peterson of Albany, GA; and his nephew Paul Peterson.
