We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2025, Eugene C. Redding Sr. of Bloomingdale, Georgia, born in Hoboken, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Redding and Effie Eugenie Lee Redding; and his sisters, Effie Mae Strickland, Virginia Strickland, Doris Crews of Elvera O'Berry, J. E and Pearl Boatright.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Louise Redding; his sons, Carl Redding (Sharon), Curtis Redding (Richele) and Kevin Redding (Kim); and his siblings, Evelyn Dowling, Louise Dawson (Billy), Bernetta Thomas (Peanut) and Durwood Redding. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at the Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery (1336 Dean Forest Rd, Savannah, GA 31405).
