He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gronefeld; his children, Jay Gronefeld (Jami), Rhonda Gronefeld Collaso (Paul), Lona Gronefeld, Benjie Jacobs (Marilyn) and Roger Griner (Penny); his grandchildren, B. J. Jacobs, Jonathan Collaso, Christopher Jacobs, Nicholas Collaso, Ryan Griner, Kayley Jacobs, Kristen Conner, Kaci Hall, Kimberly Jacobs and Cason Lewis; and his great grandchildren, Luke, London, Layla, Abel, Felix, Kimberlynn, Ryder, Garrison, Rylan, Ben, Maverick, Maci, Hannah and Kaden.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322).
