She was predeceased by: her husband Dale Joyner; her mother Angie Fortson; and her brother Bryan Fortson. She is survived by: her children, John Joyner and Meg Joyner; and her siblings, Ernie Fortson, Sue Kennedy, Gail Fortson Pomeroy (John) and Jean Fortson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
