Steven leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Steven’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen "Katie" Ann Matheny. He is survived by: his wife Jiwon Lee; his father John Shayne Matheny; his brother Jack Thomas Matheny (Annaliese); his nephew Henry Ray Matheny; and his mother-in-law Shin Hye Hwang.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
