He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Burnett and Ruby Burnett; and his sisters, Bette Stanley and Sue Cochran. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Burnett; his sons, Johnny Burnett (Linda) and Russ Burnett (Kelly); his siblings, Bobbie Taylor, Roger Burnett (Vivian), Ricky Burnett (Debbie) and Gail Burnett; and his grandchildren, Derek Burnette, Nicholas Burnette and Amelia Burnette.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge (3911 Appalachian Hwy, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery (4560 Old Hwy 76, Blue Ridge, GA 30513).
