He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Herndon; and his brother Jack Arnold Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Marie Herndon; his sibling's children, Carl, Debbie Forsman of Atlanta, Kimberly, Craig Widener of Carrolton, GA, Shelly, Charlie Mathis of Epworth, GA, Brian and Bre Herndon of Morganton; and his siblings-in-law, Martha (Bob Newman) and Mitchell (Cyndi McGill). He is also survived by many great nephews, great nieces, and cousins.
