He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Thurman and Katie Thurman; his brother Junior; and his nephew Lee. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cearley Thurman; his sons, Brian Thurman (Tara) and Kevin Thurman (Rebecca); his grandchildren, John Thurman, Katie Thurman, Francie Thurman, Mackenzie Moreland, Sawyer Moreland and Cooper Moreland; and his great grandchildren, Caiden Thurman and Parker Thurman. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends.
The family asks that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery Fund in his memory.
