He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Carter Peebles and Teresa Bolin Peebles; and his sons, John Keith Woodrum, Scott Dean Woodrum and Vernon Dale Peebles.
He is survived by: his wife Alyce Faye Peebles; his daughters, Candy Gray and Rebecca Peebles; and his daughter-in-law Sheryl Woodrum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children to honor James's legacy of commitment to helping others.
