We announce the death of John Harold Rhodes of Blue Ridge, Georgia, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 71. John Harold will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elbert and Velmer Cole Rhodes; his grandchild Kullen Rhodes; and his siblings, Barbara Rhodes, Elbert Rhodes, Kathleen Stewart (Bobby), Daisy Goddard (Virgil) and Mary Jackson (JB).
He is survived by: his children, Misty (Marc Burnette), Kayla Renee Rhodes, Marshall (Callie Rhodes), Brett (Alissa Rhodes) and Trenton (Mackenzie Rhodes); his grandchildren, Coleman Burnette (Hannah), Campbell Burnette, Khalon Rhodes, Cora Burnette, Cooper Burnette, Addysynn Miller, Easton Rhodes, Ella Rhodes, Remi Glascoe and Lorelei Rhodes; his siblings, Jerleen Stewart (John) and Carolyn Rhodes; and his friend Lora Dorraine Rhodes. He is also survived by other relatives and good friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
