He is survived by: his wife Lynda Bobo Carter; his sons, Gary Johnson Carter (Lisa) and Gayle Carter Stephenson (John); his grandchildren, Ansley Trandahl, Alyssa Antal, Megan Richards, Garrett Carter and Taylor Buckley; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Covert, Levi, Caroline and Charlotte; and his sister Brenda Carter.
