He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac "Jake" Hicks and Helen Holmes Bell Hicks; his wife Sarah Geraldine Cox Hicks; his son Casey Shane Hicks; and his siblings, Rody Hicks, Frances Hicks Wilcox, Mona Hicks Ray and Daniel Hicks.
He is survived by: his son Cody Hicks of Blue Ridge, GA; his grandchild Tylor Hicks; his great grandchild Lana Brooke Hicks; his siblings, Grady Hicks of Benton, TN and Rachel Davis of Epworth, GA; and his daughter-in-law Tammy Knight of Blue Ridge, GA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel (7871 Blue Ridge Dr, Blue Ridge, GA 30513). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (474 Pleasant Hill Rd, Copperhill, TN 37317).
