She was predeceased by: her husband John Brooks; her parents, Henry Hughes and Carrie Martin Hughes; and her siblings, James Hughes, Clarence "Bill" Hughes, Eunice Martin and Don Hughes.
She is survived by: her sons, Greer Brooks (Emelia) and Mark Brooks (Tammy); her grandchildren, Amy Brooks, Wesley Brooks, Robin Peterson (Eric), Sean Brooks, David Brooks and Lauren Brooks; and her sister Mozelle Shields.
