She was predeceased by : her parents, Van Dewey Smith, Sr. and Mamie Lee Carlton Smith; and her husband John Lewis Allen. She is survived by : her nieces and nephews, Dianne Allison (Roger), Karen Smith-Holt, Robert Smith and Jeffery Smith; her great-nephew Kevin Morgan; her caregiver Robin Nash; and her pet Doo.
