He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Franklin and Margie Pelfrey Franklin; and his siblings, Jeanie Thomas, Gary Franklin and Debbie Franklin.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Franklin; his son Kevin Franklin; his stepsons, Stacey Allen and Stan Adams; and his aunts, Lois Patterson (Arvil), Loretta Hedden, Frances Thomas and Mary Lou Franklin Carr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
