It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Gardner of Boston, Georgia, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Carol is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Carol's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Berner and Mildred Berner; her son Edward Hugh Gardner; and her grandson Brandon Smith. She is survived by: her children, Doyle Russell Gardner Jr. of Thomasville and Pamela Carol Schminky of Thomasville; and her sisters, Beverly Hatcher of Atlanta and Gail Izzo of Thomasville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
