He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Elmer Gillette and June Hoard Gillette; his wife Nancy Diane Henderson Gillette; the mother of his children Judy Gillette Martin; his granddaughter Kerry Underwood; and his brother Carl Gillette.
He is survived by: his children, David Wayne Gillette (Debbie) of Tallahassee, FL, Laura Ackerman (Tom) of Quitman, GA, Thomas "Tommy" Gillette (Debra) of Boston, GA and Amy Krystyn (Jack) of Dothan, AL; his stepson Nathan Mauterer of Crawfordville, FL; his grandchildren, Ivey, Aimee, Ryan, Cody, Kellee, Amanda, Courtney "Cory" and Thomas "Jason"; his stepgrandchildren, Ethan Mauterer and Brooke Farr; his great grandchildren, Avery, Keala, Wyatt, Isla, Taylor, Jackon, Clyde, Luna, Caleb, Kaylee, Hannah, Payton, Ansley, Addisen, Riley Ann, Regann, Layla, Briana and Wesley; his great great grandchildren, Maleah and London; and his pet Rosie.
