She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Scott and Cora Mae Layton Hanks; her husband Joe Patterson; and her brother Billy Scott. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Watts (Glenn) of Villa Rica, Tina Strickland (Tommy) of Bowdon, Tracey McMillan (Jimmy) of Temple and Tim Patterson (Gail) of Bowdon; her grandchildren, Tyler, Tiphani, Tara, Tatum, Tayla, Alexis, Tamara, Trinity, Travis, Trevor, Aubrey, Amber and Tanner; and her brother Mack Scott (Cricket). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Strickland Pavilion (782 Smith Chapel Rd, Bowdon, GA 30108).
Whether it was through a donation, a home-cooked meal, or a simple act of kindness, she gave from the heart and never expected anything in return.
