She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Dean and Bana Dean; her husband William Andrew Massengale, Jr.; and her brothers, J. T. Dean and Douglas Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Massengale (Karen), Mark Massengale and Joy Smith (Larry). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
