She was predeceased by: her husbands, R. Jack Major and Robert Chambless; her parents, Hugh Ivy and Mary Brown Ivy; her sister Mildred Pruitt; and her daughter Barbara Sutton.

She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Mark Major and Christopher Chambless; her granddaughters, Anita Eland Marinelli, Amanda Major, Candace Roberts, Isobel Chambless, Elowen Chambless and Imogen Chambless; and her great grandchildren, Cybil Buell and Ezra Reed.
