Heard, Josephine Lewis (Carter) and Elaine Billingsley; his sisters, Dorothy Lawrence, Mamie Moon (Willie), Patricia Fortson, Blondene Owensby (Mack) and Faye Bolden; and his siblings-in-law, George Heard, David Heard (Mary), Paul Heard, Otis Heard (Nancy), Alma Oliver and Jerri Bolden.
