He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Lee Blackmon Seymour; his parents, Robert Louis Blackmon and Sara Lee Wallace Butler; his stepfather Frank James Butler; his brother Larry Blackmon; his parents-in-law, Clifton B. "Pete" and Sarah Etrulia Brewer Hill; and his sister-in-law Layvonne Belcher.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn; his son Kevin Douglas Blackmon of Elberton; his son-in-law Denny W. Seymour, Jr. (Wendy) of Elberton; his grandchildren, Jayce, Kyle Bagwell of Elberton, Brayden Seymour of Elberton, Kylie, Jared Coker of Toccoa, Karson Blackmon of Elberton and Tyler Blackmon of Elberton; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Brodie, Kashton and Brewer; his brother Calvin Blackmon of Elberton; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Busby Blackmon of Elberton, Myra, Smitty Smith of Mayesville, Cliff and Kathy Hill of Homer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
