He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hubert Seymour and Pauline Beatrice Parham Seymour; his wife Amelia Gray Fleming; and his siblings, Caroleen Ruff, T. C. Seymour, Beth Clinton, Mary Edwards and Pat Seymour.
He is survived by: his children, Virgil Seymour (Terri) and Tina Edwards (Scott Brown); his grandchildren, Josh Seymour (McKenzi), Myra Harris (Evan), Matthew Seymour (Ashlie) and Emily Edwards; his great grandchildren, Jameson, Kendal, Emersyn, Kamdyn, Oakes and Hudson; and his sisters, Judy Seigler (Milton) and Lynn Herndon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
