She was predeceased by : her husband Dr. William Clifford Mason, Jr.; her grandson Jonathan Shane Anderson; her parents, Lee Frederick and Laura Frederick; her parents-in-law, Clifford and Myrtle Mason; her sister Shirley; her brothers-in-law, Milton Kimbel, Glenn Mason and Wilmoth Mack; and her foster daughter Peggy Stiltner.

She is survived by : her children, William Frederick Mason and Linda Lee; her son-in-law Kenneth Davis; her daughter Ann Akers; her son-in-law Tommy Billings; her grandchildren, Laura (Robert Pancake) and Zachary (Andrea Davis); her great grandchildren, Aaron Pancake, Ruthie Pancake and Henry Davis; her sister Joyce Mack; and her sister-in-law Margaret Mason. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, foster grandchildren and foster great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia for the William Clifford Mason, Jr. Family Scholarship, or to the Emory United Methodist Church in Emory, Virginia.
