Jeff Richards Obituary

We announce the death of Jeff Richards of Bremen, Georgia, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 59. Jeff will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jeff will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jeff will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jeff’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Nikki Richards; children: Jeff Richards Jr. (Monica), Jacob Richards (Ebonie), Scott Chapman, and Amber Roy (Lonnie); parents: Robert Benjamin Richards and Janeth Richards Bennett; earthly mother: Kathy Donald Richards; stepfather: Herschell Bennett; brother: Joel Richards (Stephanie); sister: DeAnn Duffey (Tim); grandchildren: Jaxson Richards, Rylynn Richards, Leilani Richards, Cesar Gonzalez, Addie Roy, Ella Roy, Elliott Roy, and Joan Gonzalez; and many extended family members, friends, fellow officers, and colleagues.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin & Hightower Funeral Home (1312 S Park St, Carrollton, GA 30117). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (150 Tabernacle Dr, Carrollton, GA 30117).

Flowers are welcome; however, for those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Jeff's memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Carrollton Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #35, 115 West Center Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117.
