He is survived by: his sons, Richard "Bryant" Hightower, Jr. and William Pope "Bill" Hightower.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The lying in state was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Bremen (331 Pacific Ave, Bremen, GA 30110). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Westover Farms (920 Old Bush Mill Rd, Bremen, GA 30110).
