He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Gossett and Belvia Mae Smith Gossett; his wife Trudy Jean Gilliland Gossett; and his siblings, Sue Couey, Hershel Gossett and Ronnie Gossett.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Gossett (Ruby) of Bremen, Christopher Gossett of Bremen and Terri Britt (Ronnie) of Tallapoosa; and his grandchildren, Ella Britt, Madison Britt and Paul Gossett.
